My art is born from my intuitive visions of the rhythms in nature.
Each piece begins with improvisational stitching inspired by organic forms found in my sketches, paintings, and photographs. I allow every piece to evolve spontaneously. The outcome always surprises me. They provoke feelings about my observations of environmental and life-seasons.
Because life itself is sometimes a paradox, I love to use contrasting colors, textures, and diverse fibre techniques, in my work. Sharing my fibre art is both a joy and a privilege.
The essence of renewal is felt with this Silver Lining jacket. Made by piecing Blue fabric on which Jayni embroidered birds. This unique piece symbolizes the arrival of Spring after a long blue winter. The silver lining inside adds a touch of elegance but also represents hope and transformation.
